La politique agricole en question: quelle alternative au soutien des prix

Jean-Christophe Kroll

Économie rurale, 1992, vol. 211

Abstract: The support price policy has been intituted during an intensive economic grooth period. It has lost to day his economical and political legitimity and the short term adaptation of the C.A.P. appears claerly insufficient. Several alternatives are analysed in this paper like a generalization of quotas, last propositions of the E.E.C. Commission, or ceiled supports by worker. Then it appears that the main problem is not a technical problem but the question of the economic interest of low food prices, and the discussion of the economic grooth regulation system.
