Économie rurale, 1992, vol. 212
Abstract:
The analysis compared to strawberry networks in Huelva and in Aquitaine allow to evaluate the comparative advantages of Huelva. After the first step of cost-advantages, during which the growth is based upon the rise of production and exportation, the firms are obliged to lead new strategies : vertical integration and partnership in Spain, cooperation between different steps of the sector in France. Competition is now situated in différenciation of the product and segmentation of the market.
