Abstract:
The competitivity of the duck and goose production system in Hungary remains important, in spit of the political storn since 1988. The strongest' part of this system still ten industrial slaughter-houses. Export remains essentialy controled by the old monopolistic institution "HUNGAVIS". To avoid any wild growth in production dangerous for the prices, the industry created in 1991 an interprofessional association whose first decision was to place well enforced export quotas..
