Abstract:
Off farm incomes are essential when devising agricultural policy. The american agricultural policy, from the New deal to nowadays, has been revised every four or five years. These reforms have been made possible the speedy increase of off farm incomes has maintained the global income of american farmers. does not have at its disposal so sophisticated information on the income of its farmers and it is urgent to improve the european surveys in this field.
