Isabelle Van de Walle
Économie rurale, 1994, vol. 222
Abstract:
This paper studies the development of contract farming in pig production, a case study in south Brazil. The technological, commercial and organisational elements of the contracts are analyzed. It also examines the role of contract farming on family farms, the most usual in this type of relationship linking agriculture to industries.
