Abstract:
The objective is to analyse in detail the relationships between real and financial spheres in the concrete case of the meat channels and of the Midi-Pyrénées Region. The autors first show that the important economic difficulties of the breeding activity to which add a fragile financial situation of the wholesale industry, the regression of craftoman's butcher's, an intra-channel financial solidity which is not much developped and the lack of financial commitment from hypermarkets and supermarkets in local activities are many factors which explain the difficulties of the regional links of the meat channels to ensure their widened reproduction. It is then underlined that in the actual context of an exacerbated competition, the different links of the meat channels which are present in the Midi-Pyrénées region are all confronted with important investment needs which are not satisfied by the different kinds of outside financial contributions in spite of the importance of public helps.
