Abstract:
The Japanese seed sector strategy can be characterized by its internationalization, specially in Asia. Japanese firms delocate their national production investing in countries of the region because of the hight production costs in Japan and of the exchange rate. This new competitiveness allows these firms to export seeds on other markets. The second characteristic is the importance of investments in biotechnologies.
