Abstract:
The grain and oilseeds farms have been directly moved by the CAP reform of 1992. It is interesting to compare their situation before and after the reform : 1991 is the last year of application of the farmer CAP of 1962 and 1995 is the first year of full implementation of the 1992 reform and for which data are available. It is also interesting to analyse the reasons for the lay between farmer simulation of the new CAP and what actually happened. With the assistance of a model farm type in Ile-de-France, it is possible to present a set of reasons explaining the evolution : 1993 and 1994 prices higher than expected in 1992, farm-size increase, inputs saving, lower set-aside rate and effects of some others factors with less influence.
