Abstract:
The paper analyzes agriculture effects on Languedoc Roussillon employment. The methods is based on structural model of the relationships between agriculture and the rest of the regional economy. Linked employment are quantified with appropriate descriptors, considering the accessibility to statistics at the regional level. The application to the case of Languedoc Roussillon region shows that one non agricultural employment is linked to one agricultural employment. The most important effects proceed from agricultural household consumption. Application of this method at the local level is also tested, using sample survey into farms and local companies.
