Abstract:
This paper develops a methodology dealing with desirable and undesirable output asymmetrically which is used to evaluate the impact of agri-environmental policy, both in France and Germany, on the technical and environmental efficiency of arable farms with a nitrogen surplus. Results highlight only few possibilities of environmental improvements, mainly for farms included in agrienvironmental programs.
