Abstract:
This paper reports the effects of certain environmental factors upon the expression of a virescent mutant, which herein is called pale-yellow-1 (v-py-1), in maize. The effect of environment has been studied in terms of light duration, temperature, nutrient supply, and the presence and absence of the endosperm. Visual observations of these factors are interpreted.
