 SIKERES TELEPÜLÉS-E GYÖNGYÖS?Antónia Szűcs Acta Carolus Robertus, 2013, vol. 03, issue 2, 14 Abstract: Jelen tanulmány az Észak-magyarországi Régióban található Gyöngyösi kistérség egyetlen városára, Gyöngyösre összpontosít. Célom Enyedi György tíz sikerességi tényezője mentén végig haladva vizsgálni Gyöngyös város sikerességét. Továbbá a város pozíciójának meghatározásához összehasonlítást végeztem az ország nyugati illetve keleti régiójából kiválasztott két közel azonos nagyságú településsel (Mosonmagyaróvár és Hajdúböszörmény), valamint az országos átlaggal. A komplex mutatók kiszámításával egyértelműen bizonyítható a települések fejlettsége. Az összehasonlításhoz vizsgált Mosonmagyaróvár mind 2001-ben, mind 2010-ben bizonyult legfejlettebbnek. Nem sokkal lemaradva követte Gyöngyös. Azonban azt mondhatjuk, hogy Gyön¬gyös város és kistérsége az országos át¬lagnál kedvezőbb helyzetben van, ugyan¬is egy iparilag fejlett, kedvező adottságú urbanizált tengelyen helyezkedik el. Az elemzés rámutatott arra a tényre, hogy a város nem volt sikeres az elmúlt időszakban. Ennek oka legfőképp az, hogy lehetőségeit nem megfelelően használta ki, hiányolom a kreativitást és az innovációs képességet. Nem tapasztalhatók olyan ötletek, stratégiák, projektek, amik előrelendítették volna a várost. Javaslatom a településfejlesztési koncepció felülvizsgálata, a rövid-, közép-, és hosszú távú célok meghatározása, és azok végrehajtása. Ezen kívül fontos feladatnak tartom, hogy a város komoly erőket és forrásokat biztosítson a település marketingre, ami számos előnyt hozhat a városnak. ------------------------------------------------------------------- This study focuses on Gyöngyös, which is the single municipality of the micro region of Gyöngyös located in the North Hungarian Region. It is aimed to examine the success of Gyöngyös by the ten success factors of György Enyedi. In addition, I have compared with two nearly equal size municipalities (Mosonmagyaróvár and Hajdúböszörmény) in the western and eastern region of Hungary and the national average to determine the position of Gyöngyös. It can be demonstrated the development of the settlements by the calculation of the complex indicators. Mosonmagyaróvár has proved to be the most developed municipality both in 2001 and in 2010. Gyöngyös followed it not far behind. However, we can say that Gyöngyös and the micro region is in better position than the national average, namely it is located on a highly industrialized, favored urbanized axis. In my opinion the examined municipality was not successful in the examined period. The reason for this is mainly that the potential was not used correctly, I miss the creativity and innovativeness. There are not experienced any ideas, strategies, projects which could have contributed to the development of Gyöngyös. I suggest reconsidering the municipality development concept and defining and realizing the short-, medium-, and long-term purposes. In addition, it is important to do marketing activities, which can bring many advantages to Gyöngyös.
