A 2001-ES BEREGI ÁRVÍZ - TÁRSADALMI HATÁSOK

Abstract: Napjainkban egyre sűrűsödnek a természeti katasztrófák, mind a világon és hazánkban is. Kutatásunk során, hazánkban először kezdtünk foglalkozni a katasztrófák, és az azokat követő helyreállítások és újjáépítések vidékfejlesztő hatásaival. Jelen tanulmányban a Bereg vidéki térségben végzett kutatásaink részeredményeit mutatjuk be. A mintaterület választását indokolja, hogy a 2001-es beregi árvíz és az azt követő helyreállítás, újjáépítés példaértékű „jelenség” volt. Emellett a beruházások által generált változások mértéke 10 éves időtávban már jól érzékelhető. A kutatómunka során arra kerestük a választ, hogy e katasztrófa sújtotta vidéken az árvíz és az azt követő helyreállítás, kárfelszámolás, újjáépítés milyen hatással volt a terület környezeti, társadalmi, gazdasági szegmenseire. Jelen tanulmányban az árvíz által indukált társadalmi hatások elemzésének eredményét valamint az abból levonható következtetéseket ismertetjük. -------------------------------------------------------------- Today, an increasing number of natural and civilization-related disaster events are witnessed both in Hungary and worldwide. This research being a pioneering work in Hungary analyses the impact of disasters and successive reconstruction and restoration activities on rural development. This present paper intends to provide preliminary results of the work already carried out in the Bereg Region. The sample area was selected due to the floods of 2001 and the following reconstruction both being exemplary ’phenomena’. Moreover, the extent of changes induced by such investments has become well-observable in the past 10-year-long period. The research aimed at revealing the impacts reconstruction, restoration and damage prevention had on the environmental, social and economic segments of this disaster-hit area. This paper focuses on the results and conclusions drawn from the analysis of social consequences resultant from the floods.
