Abstract:
Mr. Clayton E. Whipple, Director of Rural Education, Near East Foundation, and Educational and Extension Advisor of the Royal Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture, and Dr. A. U. Totejf, Agricultural Economist in the Institute of Agricultural Economic Research, Sofia University, deal at considerable length in this joint paper with the problem in Bulgaria and in south-eastern Europe generally. The efforts towards solution in a country where the congestion of agricultural population is great, and where the outlets into industry or by emigration are severely limited, are of special interest.
