Participatory Continuous Farm Management Training in Adults. Learning and Experiences from Two Cereal Crops Areas in Colombia

Abstract: Adult farmer training is a key issue of farm management programmes in developing countries. This document shows FUNDESAGRO ’ team experiences of participatory continuous farm management training in two commercial cereal crops areas in Colombia, South America. Framers’ empowerment to apply farm management basic tools on farm and corporate levels was the training aim. The training process, starting with farmers' selection and involvement and training strategies (workshops, case studies and farm visits) are described. Participation and corporate work to solve communal problems are highlighted Finally, conclusions and learning are summarised and some recommendations are presented to further applications in developing countries.
