Strategies for Dairy Farm Preservation

Nathan de Boom, Jon Phillips and Gwen Urey

Journal of the ASFMRA, 2006, vol. 2006, 6

Abstract: The objective of this article is to promote the adoption of farmland preservation strategies that minimize the conflicts between urban land uses and dairy agriculture land use. In order to accomplish this, a survey was developed and implemented which contributes knowledge and understanding of dairy farmers' perceptions. Farm consultants can use the results to develop strategies to address urban/agriculture conflicts.
