Australian Beef Production and Trade

Minkook Jeong

Journal of Rural Development/Nongchon-Gyeongje, 2005, vol. 28, issue 01

Abstract: Korea and Australia play important roles in the international beef market, particularly in the Pacific Rim beef trade. Australia was Korea's second largest import market after United States. After the discovery of BSE in the United States, the Australia beef industry is likely to have an opportunity to increase market share in Korean beef market. This paper is intended to assist in the understanding of Australian beef markets and of the industry's various component.
