Socio-Economic Effects and Their Related Factors of Special Zone of Structural Renovation in Japan

Abstract:
This study intended to find out impact factors through regional social-economic effects by agricultural special zone of environmentally sustainable type through its designation for the structural reorganization, and to suggest implications of this policy overall. Factor analysis was performed to find out the impacts of the agricultural special zone upon social-economic effects. The most important factors were improvements of living environment (factor 1), creation of special zone foundation (factor 2), income improvement (factor 3), and environmentally sustainable agriculture (factor 4). Accumulated dispersion of these four factors was 78.7%. According to the regression results of factors to analyze the impacts of regional economic revitalization, factor 4 was turned out to be more important than other factors and all factors showed a positive(+) influence. Also, according to the analysis results of the regional social-economic impacts, factor 3 was turned out to the most important factor and all factors showed a positive(+) influence.
