Estimation of Market Power of Fluid Milk Bottlers in Korea

Abstract:
This paper estimates the market power of fluid milk bottlers in Korea using NEIO (New Empirical Industrial Organization) supply relation that includes conjectural variation. The estimated coefficient of the market power parameter is significantly different from zero, and the corresponding average Lerner index over the period of 1975 to 2004 is 0.15.
