A Desirable Policy for the Stabilization of Korean Rice Market

Yong Sagong

Journal of Rural Development/Nongchon-Gyeongje, 2011, vol. 34, issue 5

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide the desirable rice policy to stabilize the rice market. This paper suggests a special disposal to protect the rapid decrease in rice price caused by temporary good harvest. And it suggests to be reformed for the variable direct payment program to be decoupled since the decoupled direct payment program is economically the most efficient policy for solving a problem of the structural oversupply.
