Abstract: The 2006 – 2007 agricultural campaign was characterized by a good rainfall. As a result, cereal production has increased according to the survey conducted by CPS/DNSI.. The prices of cereals reflect this increase in production. To keep producers from selling their products at lower prices, it is recommended to constitute the national food security stock and cereal banks at commune level in December 2006, lift measures forbidding the exports of cereals, and put in place overdraft facilities for producers and traders for cereals storage.
