Abstract: This piece of work is directed to an analysis on the factors which determine the competitiveness in te coffee agro-business in the southern portion of the state of Minas Gerais. The “Diamond”model, as described by Michael E. Porter, which preconizes a group of four determinating factors which contribute for the development of international competitivity of a given industrial activity, was used in the study.
