Abstract:
Aim of this paper and research was to explain concepts and effects of innovative activities and types of incorporated innovations in food industry companies. Author would like to present relationship between theoretical assumptions proposed in the literature of subject and results achieved by the companies that were investigated and additional effects and benefits that come from its implementation. In order to complete the research the author used questionnaires, study period included years from 2006 to 2011. The author found out that product innovation was the primary type of innovative activities in the investigated companies, then changes in work organization and implementation of new operative procedures. Activities, in most concerned innovations that were implemented on corporate level.
