Abstract:
The aim of this paper was to demonstrate the level of environmental costs in the dairy cooperatives in the years 2004-2010. The study involved 32 dairy cooperatives operating continuously during the research, at the end of 2005. Material consisted of information obtained from the questionnaire interview. Particular attention was paid to the cooperative fee for emissions to atmosphere and exceeding the limit values for these pollutants and noise, the costs of solid waste management and sewage costs. It was found that dairy cooperatives incur the highest costs associated with the economy of sewage. High costs are also associated with the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. Economy linked to environmental protection in the largest cooperatives is stable and close to correct.
