Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the directions of changes in support for the agricultural sector in conjunction with the global trade in agri-food products in developed and developing countries, and the consequences flowing from the EU agriculture. For the analysis was used OECD data covering 47 countries. Research related to years 1986 to 2012. The analysis shows that the developing countries are steadily increasing their level of support for agricultural producers, as well as increasingly use forms of aid distorting international trade. It can be concluded that in the near future, these countries may constitute a real threat to the position of developed countries in the international arena.
