Abstract: This paper has been an attempt to determine the level of farmers’ interest in the use of RES. The research employed the method of diagnostic survey. 230 farm owners from Pomorskie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie Provinces took part in the research. The functioning of today’s farm is strictly connected with the necessity of the increase in the demand for electricity and heat. The research has allowed to establish that there is a certain level of farmers’ interest in the use of RES in animal and vegetation production, but there are still a number of obstacles on the way to their full introduction. When choosing investments in RES, every farmer must analyze the situation of his own farm – most importantly, its needs and capabilities.
