Abstract:
The paper presents the characteristics of sheep production as a subsystem of the sustainable bioeconomy. The potential of this production is very large. Sheep provide many products that have multiple uses. Key features of sheep production is the production of healthy food, utilization of resources of agricultural origin in the industry, supporting of ecology and tourism, generation of renewable energy from biogas. It all makes the sheep production is a subsystem of the sustainable bioeconomy.
