Abstract: In the article was presented importance of capital in agriculture and the role of cooperative banks in its funding. It has been shown that competitive pressure, forcing cooperative banks to improve economic efficiency and new banking regulations, create the need to reconstruction organizational structure and operating model of cooperative banking in Poland. The paper presents the essence of these changes and analysis their potential impact on the financial servicing of agriculture by cooperative banks.
