Abstract: An assessment of restructuring impact on the efficiency of brewing industry in Poland was the main aim of the study. Polish beer market showed a dynamic development. It reflected ownership changes along with modernisation and enlargement of production capacities supported with foreign direct investments. The brewing sector achieved the efficiency which was one of the highest within the entire agri-food industry. However in the last decade the efficiency of direct consumption, labour and capital have declined.
