Abstract:
The aim of this paper was to determine the export share in the production of selected fruit species in Poland and the answer to the question whether the change in the export of fruit were correlated with changes in the production of particular fruit species. On the basis of the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that, in the case of fruit produced mainly for processing (raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, cherries), the increase in production was not correlated with an increase in export and share their exports in relation to production decreased. In the case of fruit produced for consumption as a dessert fruit (apples, pears, plums) the share of exports in relation to the production volume increased and export volume of each of these species at least doubled, suggesting that the increase in production is not the cause of export growth (with the exception of apples)
