Abstract: The aim of the paper was to present the results of empirical research on the use of planning, vision and strategies as a tool of strategic farm management in Poland. The survey covered 338 farms from all over the country. Its results indicate that planning using simple methods and vision are already fairly widely used by farmers. However, they are rarely transform to concrete formalized and consistently implemented strategy.
