Abstract: The main aim of the paper is attempt to evaluate the relationship between food security and income inequalities in the OECD countries. It was found that there is considerable variation in both: the level of food security, and especially in distribution of income between countries. This is a consequence of the differences in the level of economic development, as well as the model of functioning of the economy. As results from the study, these analyzed relationships are evident in the case of less developed countries, especially in the dimension of food security relating to the economic affordability of food. So they relate to a greater extent on the demand side of food. But for rich countries it is difficult to make such generalizations. The level of food security there is a relatively high, and the scale of income inequality or lower.
