INVESTMENT POLICY AS AN IMPORTANT INSTRUMENT DETERMINING COMPETITIVENESS AND MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract: The article concerns the problem of local development, which takes place under conditions of constant rivalry between territorial units. One of the main instruments that affects local area development are new investments carried out in particular space. Investments undertaken by local authorities and private sector have an influence on the level of competitiveness of (certain) community. This article aims to show how the "municipal offer" is adapted to the needs of specific recipient and which communication methods are used by local authorities to interest potential investors. As well as the incentives used by them to initiate new business ventures in the borough.
