Abstract: An attempt is made of an assessment of the influence of sugar industry regulations in the EU on the Polish sugar industry. The analysis is based on statistical data concerning production and financial results as well as the legal framework concerning the sugar sector. The CAP reform has had both positive and negative influence on the situation in the Polish sugar industry. / Synopsis. Celem analizy była próba oceny wpływu reformy systemu regulacji rynku cukru w UE na sytuację w polskim cukrownictwie. Analizę przeprowadzono w oparciu o dane statystyczne dotyczące sektora cukrowniczego w zakresie wyników produkcyjno-finansowych, z uwzględnieniem ramowych uwarunkowań prawnych. Reforma WPR miała zarówno korzystny jak i negatywny wpływ na sytuację krajowego sektora przemysłu cukrowniczego.
