Opłacalność produkcji żywca wieprzowego w Polsce po integracji z UE

Abstract: The aim of the research was to estimate the changes in profitability of production of pigs for slaughter. The analysis included data from GUS (Central Statistical Office) and IERiGŻ (Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy), as well as information from farms in Wielkopolska province that produced hundred or more porkers yearly and conducted accountancy within the Polish FADN system in the 2004. The profitability of production of pigs for slaughter is influenced primarily by the purchase prices of pigs and fodder costs. Polish accession to the EU has not stopped changes in the conditions in the market of pork meat. During periods of adverse conditions most breeders do not undertake any actions, but some farmers prolong the feeding period or decrease the size of sow herds. In order to stabilize prices in the pig market the introduction of system solutions and new outlet markets are being sought. / Synopsis. Celem badań było określenie zmian w opłacalności produkcji żywca wieprzowego w Polsce po integracji z UE. W analizie wykorzystano dane GUS, IERiGŻ oraz informacje z gospodarstw w Wielkopolsce, które produkowały 100 i więcej tuczników rocznie oraz prowadziły rachunkowość w ramach polskiego FADN. Z badań wynika, że na opłacalność produkcji żywca wieprzowego wpływają głownie ceny skupu trzody chlewnej oraz koszty pasz. Przystąpienie Polski do UE nie zlikwidowało zmian koniunkturalnych na rynku wieprzowiny. W okresie dekoniunktury większość producentów żywca wieprzowego nie podejmuje żadnych działań, ale część rolników przedłuża okres tuczu albo zmniejsza stada loch. W celu stabilizacji cen na rynku trzody chlewnej dąży się do wprowadzenia rozwiązań systemowych i poszukuje się nowych rynków zbytu.
