Abstract: The article presents an analysis of changes in the financing structure of selected investments in technical infrastructure for water and wastewater in rural areas in Poland. The time horizon of the research covers 2005-2014. The article presents the positive changes that have taken place in the field of rural areas with equipment and facilities in the field of water and wastewater management. Nevertheless, it emphasizes the need for further improvement in the analyzed period, due to the disparities that exist between rural areas in Poland and corresponding areas in Western Europe. / Synopsis. Artykuł prezentuje analizę zmian struktury finansowania wybranych inwestycji infrastruktury technicznej służącej gospodarce wodno-ściekowej na obszarach wiejskich w Polsce. Horyzont czasowy badań obejmuje lata 2005-2014. W artykule zaprezentowano korzystne zmiany, jakie nastąpiły w zakresie wyposażenia obszarów wiejskich w urządzenia i obiekty z zakresu gospodarki wodno-ściekowej. Niemniej, podkreślono w nim konieczność dalszej poprawy sytuacji w analizowanym zakresie, z uwagi na dysproporcje, jakie występują między obszarami wiejskimi w Polsce a analogicznymi w krajach Europy Zachodniej.
