Abstract:
The current crisis that the world is experiencing, in health, financial and economic terms, could be the hardest in recent decades, as it affects both developed and developing countries. However, it is at the same time an essential point on which a new world economic dynamic can be born. The current scenario is, therefore, that of a world economy in crisis due to COVID 19. This pandemic has generated an impact first in the health sector and later in the financial sector of the country and its regions, a situation that has led to the collapse of the different economies. Mexico is not the exception to this pandemic; it is experiencing one of the worst social and economic crises on record. The pandemic has caused and continues to cause human, economic, and social losses to thousands of families throughout the country. The general objective of the research is to identify the effect of COVID-19 on MSMEs in the mountainous region of the state of Sonora, in order to provide information for decision-making, mainly in the economic and strategic sphere. To fulfill the general objective of the research, a methodology was implemented with the type of descriptive study since it seeks to specify and observe the phenomenon to be studied, through data collection techniques, where the survey was used, it was obtained that the greatest affectations that COVID-19 had in MSMEs in the region was the decrease in income, decrease in demand and cancellation of orders, comply with health and hygiene measures, among others. As well as participant observation, applied at the time of going to visit the establishments. With the results of the investigation, it is expected that the entrepreneurs will have updated and pertinent information, which allows them to know, explain and better understand the phenomena they face and thus act accordingly immediately.
