Abstract:
According to the classification of economic activities in Mexico, agriculture is a primary activity, as are livestock, forestry, mining and fishing. The Family Production Units (UPF) in Mexico are considered as actors that convert a threat into a food advantage. Therefore, the objective of the study was to carry out a technical-productive diagnosis of the family production units of sugar cane and banana crops, located in the Papaloapan region, in the state of Veracruz. It also describes activities, technologies and supplies used by producers in their crops, as well as basic information for detecting technical problems that affect production. It concludes with the possible innovations proposed for the sugar cane and banana product system, in order to increase its productivity and achieve a greater number of markets.
