Abstract:
It is important for the regions to know the sources and resources they must activate and carry out their economic activities, generating new opportunities to improve the standard of living of their inhabitants. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze all the sources that can provide, to an area, benefits for its enrichment. Also, it is essential that a region does not depend on a single sector for its development, because by not diversifying its productive activities, its economy is at high risk. The cultivation of garlic has become one of the main sources of income among the families of the municipalities of the Sonora River; with small production units that consist of crops of surfaces of less than 2 hectares per family unit on the banks of the river. This project seeks to link producers, supply providers, service providers, supplier providers, collectors, clients, consumers, complementors and competitors, through an analysis of the garlic chain in the municipality of Arizpe and with an impact at the regional, state, National and international. The objective of this document is to design the structure of the value chain of garlic production in the municipalities of the Sonora River. Case of the municipality of Arizpe. This project seeks to contribute to the analysis of the necessary resources to contribute to the detonation of a sector that is not very usual in the region. The proposed analysis is aimed at determining whether the Sonora River region has post-harvest mechanisms for garlic, and how these guide the development of its producers.
