Revista Mexicana de Agronegocios, 2024, vol. 54, issue January-June 2024

Abstract: Within the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, preventing risk and ensuring the physical and mental integrity of workers is becoming increasingly visible and important in all sectors of the economy. In this way, the concept of Quality of Life plays an important role in people's expectations and experiences, which is why the objective was set to identify the perceptions that workers in agricultural production units have about their quality of work life. This is descriptive research in which the following dimensions were analyzed: working conditions, safety and health, psychosocial risks and side effects of work. The population was made up of 170 people who are dedicated to agricultural and livestock production. Within the results, employees feel comfortable and calm with their work, however, the variable focused on the side effects of work had a low rating, this shows that physical effort and the demands of work affect day-to-day life. in the production process. In general terms, from a subjective perspective, workers state that their working conditions are optimal in meeting their needs. However, from a researcher's perspective, employees' working conditions remain precarious. From experiences, work is very important and motivating for people, since the family depends on it.
