Revista Mexicana de Agronegocios, 2008, vol. 22, issue January-June 2008, 8

Abstract: In case of company agrarian of size medium and small, that it is the one that mainly predominates in Colombia, is appraised a short term decision making that does not correspond to a systemic process that assures the sustainability in the time. In the evaluation of the management the use of indicators of technical type predominates and without Strategy-Focused Organization. A generic example with the Balanced Scorecard methodology appears in this work for the formulation of the strategy in horticulture companies, of such form, that it allows to evaluate the global performance based on the processes characteristic of these, but that of a form simple and nearer the language of the small ones and medium producers offers a tool to them that supports its efforts of improvement.
