A convivência com o semi-árido e as transformações socioprodutivas na região do sisal – Bahia: por uma perspectiva territorial do desenvolvimento rural

Abstract: As transformações produtivas ocorridas na área sisaleira do Estado da Bahia, nos últimos dez anos, trazem novas perspectivas de inserção econômica para a agricultura familiar do semi-árido baiano. Não só o sisal se recuperou sua importância econômica, outras atividades agrícolas e não-agrícolas começam a ganhar destaque, como a caprino-ovinocultura. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar as transformações produtivas na Região do Sisal tendo como foco de análise a noção de Convivência com o Semi-Árido. Ressalta-se, na conclusão, que a noção de Convivência com o Semi-Árido não é somente a resposta a uma característica peculiar das áreas semi-áridas nordestinas, a estiagem, ela incorpora modos e técnicas de saber-fazer capitaneadas por governos, organizações e atores locais que refletem contextos sócio-espaciais específicos e interesses em disputa em torno da preocupação do desenvolvimento rural nos territórios.----------------The transformations productive occurred in the Region of Sisal, State of Bahia, in the last ten years, bring new perspectives for economic integration of family farming in the semi-arid zone. Not only the rural areas sisal's recovered its economic importance, other activities agricultural and non-agricultural beginning to gain prominence as the creation of animal small. The objective of this article is to present the productive changes in the Region of Sisal with the focus in analysis the concept of Living with the Semi-Arid. It is emphasized that the notion of Living strategies with the Semi-Arid it is not only a response to a peculiar feature of the semi-arid areas of the Northeast Region, drought. In conclusion, if defend the Living strategies with the Semi-Arid to incorporate modes and technical know-how by governments, organizations and local actors who reflect sociospatial contexts and specific interests in dispute about the concern of rural development in the territories.
