EFICIÊNCIA NA INDÚSTRIA DE MÓVEIS NO BRASIL: O IMPACTO DA ABERTURA COMERCIAL NOS ESTADOS E REGIÕES DO BRASIL

Abstract: Com a abertura comercial na década de 90, muitos setores da economia que estavam em processo de industrialização se viram em dificuldade em enfrentar uma nova estrutura de competição, isso por sua vez acarretou numa industrialização tardia para algumas empresas do setor industrial, principalmente para as empresas de fabricação de móveis. Analisando esta entrada, este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar se o processo de abertura comercial causou impactos na eficiência dos estados nas indústrias de móveis, bem como o impacto na produtividade física. Para atingir esse objetivo, foi utilizado o Modelo de Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA), que se baseia em programação matemática. Como insumos foram utilizados pessoal ocupado no setor, salários e remunerações e custo médio das operações industriais, como produto foram utilizados o valor bruto da produção menos as exportações. O que se percebeu foi uma queda da eficiência, aumentando a desigualdade regional da indústria de móveis, porém essa queda de eficiência foi acompanhada de aumento na produtividade.-------------------------------------------With the opening trade in the 1990’s, many sectors of the economy that were in the industrialization process were in difficulty in facing a new structure of competition, this bring to a late industrialization some companies in the industrial sector, particularly for firms manufacturing of furniture. Analyzing this entry, this study has a objective to determine whether the process of opening up trade caused impacts on the efficiency of the states in the industries of furniture, as well as the impact on physics productivity. To achieve that goal, we used the model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is based on mathematical programming. As inputs were used staff busy in the industry, wages and salaries and the average cost of the industrial operations, such as product were used the rule value of the production less exports. What if realized was a fall in efficiency, increasing inequality regional furniture industry, but this efficiency fall has been accompanied by an increase in productivity.
