POLÍTICAS AMBIENTAIS E A DETERMINAÇÃO DA ESCALA SUSTENTÁVEL DE UTILIZAÇÃO DOS RECURSOS NATURAIS

Abstract: A falta de mercado definido para os bens e serviços prestados pelo meio ambiente cria uma série de problemas quanto a sua alocação eficiente e utilização sustentável. A intervenção do governo, através da adoção de políticas macroeconômicas e ambientais se torna, portanto, imprescindível à gestão dos recursos ambientais. Nos últimos anos, o Ministério do Meio Ambiente vem utilizando diversos instrumentos de política ambiental para que, na busca pelo crescimento econômico, não sejam desconsiderados fatores ambientais, sociais, éticos e culturais. A criação de Unidades de Conservação é uma das principais medidas adotadas com vistas a diminuir os efeitos da destruição dos ecossistemas. Apesar da obtenção de resultados positivos quanto a preservação de ecossistemas, muito ainda se há de fazer para que a sustentabilidade das atividades produtivas seja alcançada. -------------------------------The lack of a defined market to goods and services rendered by environment creates a series of problems concerning to its efficient allocation and sustainable utilization. The govern intervention, by means of the adoption of macroeconomic and environmental politics, becomes, thus, essential to the management of the environmental resources. In the last years the Environment Ministry has been utilizing several instruments of environmental politics so that, in the search for the economic growing, environmental, social, ethical and cultural factors are not discharged. The creation of Conservation Unities is one of the main measures adopted aiming at diminishing the effects of the destruction of the environment. In spite of the obtaining of positive results concerning the ecosystems preservation, there is much yet to be done so that the sustainability of the producing activities is reached.
