The Effects of Foreign Investments and the Economic Development of Serbia

Abstract: Among the basic pillars of modern strategy for Serbian economic development is the creation of good investment climate suitable for foreign investments and dynamic economic development. That is why the state plays an important role in proving longterm political stability which is the main precondition for a quality life of Serbia. Serbia, as a country in a transitional momentum, has been transforming in an attempt to reach European standards. In spite of its problems from the past, Serbia is continually advancing, which is shown by the increasing trend of foreign investments in the last couple of years, together with good investment climate that is constantly improving.
