Abstract:
Some mountain areas of southwestern Serbia have good natural conditions for cattle breeding. Nevertheless, these resources have not been exploited enough. On the other side, there is contentious problem of unemployment. Causes of this situation are the result of overall social circumstances. So far, no major efforts were taken to change this situation. However, there are several measures that are attainable for the improvement of cattle breeding in these areas.
