The role of community initiatives in rural development

Abstract: The article reviews the current state and problems of rural development, the strategy is scientifically substantiated and areas of economic activities of their development are identified. The role of local governments in addressing community and rural development on the example of the village council Pryvorottya is studied. The authors have also formulated main measures for stimulation rural development.
