Rural unemployment as a crisis uncertainty for rural women

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to analyze the state and determine the directions of further solution of the unemployment problem among the rural population, including rural women. Research methodology. In the research process have been used such scientific methods as: statistical and economic, comparative analysis, calculation. Research results. There has been highlighted an undesirable picture of the social reality of the rural living standards, where were lost the labor places, which resulted in the loss of income of the rural population. Unemployment has reached its severity, and this is a major problem related to the rural development, as the employment of rural population is a priority. There has been characterized the current rural life, where high unemployment rate causes the most effect on rural women, and as a consequence, on their families. The number of rural women who work abroad is noticeably increasing. Depopulation is growing rapidly in all regions of Ukraine. Elements of scientific novelty. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that reality of solving this problem for the rural population is the personal auxiliary farms that are the main food supplier and serve as the guarantor of survival. By the characteristics of the existing rural life, there have been proven that the maintenance of private household primarily lies on the shoulders of women. Practical significance. The urgent need to create the prerequisites for a sustainable rural development has been substantiated, which will improve the rural living conditions due to the development of social and engineering infrastructure of the countryside. Great hope is laid on promoting and stimulating job creation, training and re-training. Under the prevailing conditions, a rural woman feels unprotected by the state, unnecessary for society, and therefore her life steps are in crisis uncertainty. Tabl.: 5. Refs.: 13.
