Arranging statistical information on production of solid biofuel by agricultural and woodprocessing enterprises

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to substantiate proposals for arranging statistical information on production of solid biofuel by agricultural and wood-processing enterprises in order to provide the necessary data for managers and consumers. Research methodology. In the research process there have been used such scientific methods: comparative analysis, synthesis and analysis, calculation and constructive methods. Research results. The mechanism of arranging statistical information on production of solid biofuels by agricultural and woodprocessing enterprises has been substantiated. It was done by improving the existing CTEA (code of types of economic activity) based on the addition of sections and sub-sections of the information on the production of solid biofuels from secondary raw materials by agricultural and wood-processing enterprises. At present, such information is not available in statistical data, but it is crucial for managerial decisions-making on identifying priority areas for further development of enterprises in these sectors as well as for potential consumers of solid biofuels. According to the proposed changes in the CTEA, the necessity to introduce appropriate amendments to the forms of statistical reporting of agricultural and wood enterprises has been substantiated, as well as a mechanism for the implementation of such changes. Elements of scientific novelty. It’s been proposed to improve the CTEA in section C, chapter 34 “Production of solid biofuel (briquettes and granules), made from secondary raw materials (sawdust, shavings, straw, sunflower husk, etc.)”. The scheme of detailing chapter 34, section C for agricultural and wood enterprises has been substantiated: 34.1. Production of solid biofuel (briquettes and granules) by processing wood secondary raw materials; 34.2. Production of solid biofuel (briquettes and granules) by processing agricultural secondary raw materials (husk of sunflower, straw of agricultural crops, etc.). There have been improved the forms of statistical reporting with the proposed changes in the CTEA. Practical significance. The proposed changes for arranging the statistical information on production of solid biofuel products of agricultural and wood processing enterprises will make it possible to improve the quality and timeliness of managerial decisionsmaking at the abovementioned enterprises in the process of strategic and tactical planning of their activities. Also it will facilitate obtaining necessary information for interested consumers of solid biofuel products. Tabl.: 2. Figs.: 2. Refs.: 14.
