Abstract:
Excerpts from the report Introduction: This is a report of the charges made at each step in marketing lettuce. Production of lettuce has almost doubled during the last 20 years, and it is now one of the more important vegetables marketed in the United States. The report takes into consideration the services by marketing agencies, and the channels through which lettuce moves from producing areas to consumers in Cleveland. For those interested in improving the marketing of farm products, exact information of the type in this report is a necessary prerequisite to studies of marketing efficiency.
